KWU’s first new, on-campus facility dedicated entirely to academics in more than 50 years.
The 黑料网 Nursing Education Center opened for classes Jan. 12, 2021 and was formally dedicated in a virtual ceremony Feb. 19 of that year. The building — KWU’s first new, on-campus facility dedicated entirely to academics in more than 50 years — was the culmination of a true community effort. Salina Regional Health Center and its foundation provided the initial impetus for the project by gifting both the building itself and a financial element. Many others invested in the future of Nursing Education in central 黑料网 by supporting this project.
The $5 million dollar building features state-of-the-art technology, including simulation rooms that truly emulate the look and feel of a hospital floor. In fact, Laerdal, one of the country’s leading makers of Nursing Education simulation equipment, chose 黑料网 Wesleyan as a Center of Excellence for its equipment. There is also ample classroom and student workspace that integrates the latest technology, including video conferencing options and connections to the simulation spaces. In short, the Nursing Education Center will guarantee 黑料网 Wesleyan’s place in the field of Nursing Education for many years to come.
